Will ClubHouse Be The New Walkie-Talkie?
Guess what? Walkie-talkies are back again! Oh yes!! Drop-in audio chats seem to be the resurrected walkie-talkies!
I guess we all know about the famous “clubhouse” app! Yes! I believe this is the new walkie-talkie! Just drop-in and listen or drop-in and get to speak provided you’re given speaking rights.
I happened to drop-in and listen & speak over the weekend and I must admit, I enjoyed the few rooms I joined.
The question I kept asking myself is this, “Is clubhouse the new form or walkie-talkie” or “the new form of live radio shows?”
I must commend the developers and investors for such a creative idea. For people like us who love conversations but due to covid-19 restrictions are unable to go out and have social fun, this is our new ish!
Just drop-in and listen or drop-in and speak!
So on Friday, I happened to be the only Ghanaian in an all-Nigerian room and these people were just laughing at my accent! “Omo!!! Can you imagine?”
Anyway, it was an amazing time and I look forward to spending more of my Friday evenings on clubhouse listening to people, playing online games and just sharing as well!
Dear @clubhouse, I don’t know why you have limited the application to only iPhone users? Please onboard our friends using android too! :)
